My VPI turntable has RCA outputs, but it seems most of the phono cables on the used market have DIN connectors. Does anyone know of a junction box for VPI TTs with a DIN out. Thanks.

Steve, I think VPI is out for the remainder of the year (they normally take the last two weeks of December off), but otherwise I’d suggest checking with them first. I’m not sure I’ve even seen one. However, you could contact Steve Leung of VAS. He makes all kinds of VPI friendly stuff. I think he makes a XLR terminated junction box, so he may be able to make one with DIN.
Hi Tony. Thanks for taking time to reply. I’ve not seen anything in the VPI catalog either. Is Steve Leung’s business vas.com or is vas spelled out? Take care!
Steve
Here you go.
Thanks, man!
I’ll add that I have never seen a VPI junction box with a DIN connector. 99.9% certain they never offered one. Not to be a smart aleck, but the whole point of the VPI box is to use standard RCA or XLR interconnects. You don’t really need “special” interconnects for phono, but shielding would be good for that tiny signal. VPI offers reasonably priced interconnects. Yes, VPI has offered the XLR box, but it is a rare beast. Somewhat less rare is a phono pre with XLR input (I had one for a while, ARC PH-2).
