The DS’s output impedance is approx. 120 Ohms and flat. It’s comfortable driving low impedance loads (the 20dB attenuator is a 15 Ohm shunt to ground.)

Well based on my listening experiences with the DS connected direct I would have to agree with you. Haha. However given my particular scenario and amp/pre combo - do you (or ted. :) ). feel this would be an issue in your experience? I didn't even think of impedance swings at the extreme frequencies.
