Got it. Thanks. I run a Cisco 300-28PP switch for most of my network, with other managed switches at key locations. For example, from that 300, I run fiber to a Cisco 300-10PP in the library where the headphone station is. Same with the AV system in the living room. I am thinking of putting something like the TP-Link [single mode gigabit for compatibility with my other stuff] on each Ethernet line to each component to further isolate them from each other, but am wondering if whatever gain I get from that might be offset by anything the TP-Link itself injects.

Palerider

It is possible that the switch-mode power supply that comes with the TP-Link might inject some interference: I ditched this and bought a linear power supply just in case.

David: what LPS did you secure for the TP-Link? I have an UpTone on order but would prolly prefer a slightly more economical solution if I have to deploy more than a coupl of these. Still considering an all-fiber switch in the headphone room, so would need one of the converters for each of the DACs minimum.

Any internal pics of the DMP

Just ordered mine.

Paul McGowan said We have disabled HDCD decoding in DMP to maintain bit perfect performance. Once you allow HDCD decoding you lose the bit perfect nature that we find compelling.
Has anyone compared the HDCD to the sound of the DS Jr and the DMP assuming that the

DMP will play the HDCD discs, I think I have a few of them I think they are mainly Reference

Recordings cd’s

They’ll play fine. I can have the HDCD decoded on my Cambridge Audio CXU which I’m currently using for movies. This unit sounds great for a 1000 to 1500 dollar universal player. But it doesn’t sound nearly as good as the undecoded disc via the PMD/DSD.
