I will listen music 24/7 even at night,while i am sleeping,so,it will have burn-in with music,as it should be…
I think mine took two weeks of non-stop playback before I felt it had steadied out.
You mean with upgraded transformers,or stock DSD DAC?
Upgraded to 4400’s.
Okay, thank you…how was the sound at the start of upgraded transformers, mine is ear piercing at the volume settings with 60…there is no sound allmost, which would be all the time pleasant…it is small with somekind of definition…no DSD present yet…i have also new power cord and digital cable,so,this may be the issue too…
Mine sounded good, pretty close to stock. Nothing at all like you describe. I also don’t recall anyone else who has described what you are hearing after their upgrade.
I suggest that you go back to your original cables so you are only hearing one change.
Perhaps because of digital cable,as it was 30eur from Kimber, retail 85eur,it cannot sound that good probably…which digital cable do you have? Is it necesarry to put 1000eur in digital cable? Does worth it? How loud did you listen at the start, you have preamplifier, mine is directly to power amp?
If you are in Europe you might look at a Pink Faun cables. I have both USB and i2s (HDMI) cables from them and in my system they are as good as any I have heard.
Thank you,i did cced them…they are not much expensive…
I suggested going back to your original cables to simply remove too many changes at once.
Normal listening levels for me is when it’s just loud enough that a conversation with someone 5 feet away is difficult. I call it marital harmony volume.
I am currently using Wireworld Platinum USB and a PS Audio I2S cables. There’s so many choices with these types of cables. This forum is filled with listening impressions of different manufactures.
I do not have previous cables, only new ones,as i was bought DSD DAC with USA cord,so,it was needed schuko cable…digital cable i was having none too,so,all is new for listening, that i can at least listen…i have onlly Coax on my cd player,no other connections…
Ahhh. The perfect storm.
If you can, I would swap out your cables so you can start eliminating if the cables are causing your problems.
Well,i have only one cable,no experimenting,it was cheap,so…how much money, that much music…will wait for burn-in…Ted said,it may took hundreds of hours for that,so…and cable too several hundred hours…
Let us know how it goes.
Good luck!
Thank you, will see,how it will be with burn-in…Thank you for the tipp of cables…
I was wrong…my speakers were set with high energy on tweeter,so,because of that it was ear piercing sound…now i did make correction and it is okay, the sound is much more pleasant and better…my mistake…waiting on burn-in to be finished in some twoo weeks,as you did said…i can expect much better sound, right?
What was your system difference such that you had your tweeter control set on high? Is the only difference that makes you turn the tweeter control down the transformer mod?
I was having problems with one power diode in Power Supply in my preamplifier, which was broken because of heat, that’s why i did experimenting with speaker settings for membranes and i did forgot, how i did set controls…no problem now…
In my experience the sound quality did get better over two weeks of near continuous play.
Sit back, relax, and turn it up!
Yes,i am listening all day long and night too…what kind of sound is at the start with upgraded transformers and after twoo weeks, which difference appears?
