We are on it. We gave our team the 4th, 5th, and 6th off as a holiday to spend with their families. This slows things down but we’ll be back on it on Monday. Sorry for the delay and thanks for the patience.
Thanks. I appreciate the update and it makes me feel better to know that I’m not alone in this issue
I thought it might be my networking, because I was using wireless for the Bridge but I upgraded it today and experienced the same problem. That said, I was able to play non-192khz music for a bit longer than usual but when I switched to a 192khz album, it died at the end of the first track.
Hi hshrader,
The IR functionality is in the main DSJ code and will be in the next DSJ code release. The bridge code is separate from our code and we are currently working with the designers to resolve issues that have been discovered in the newest release. I will have to look into advance/back functions breaking in 3.6.2, as this isn’t on my current bug list, but I will attempt to recreate here and get it added if needed.
Regards,
Matt
I should probably not reply since you are on this…but…
If IR (remote?) functionality is in the main DSJ code, then how is the bridge code at all involved in the advance/back functions? Still, appreciate you confirming if we’ve lost the advance/back function with the new bridge code.
The bridge is the renderer…advance/back is a function of rendering.
Roon still starts to open then disappears. Now, DS BridgeII is not showing on Ipad. I’ve restarted Modem, Router and rear power button of DS. Nothing.
Hi oneartist,
Thanks for letting us know about this.
Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble.
We recently send a firmware update that was found to have a bug.
Can you confirm the Bridge II firmware version in your DAC?
It should be 3.5.1.
Thanks,
- Jermey
Yes, it is 3.5.1 now with firmware 2.0.7. Last week I updated?Bridge to 3.6.2? The drop back to 3.5.1 must have stopped network communication. I have done all the usual fixes of rebooting the modem, router and the back power of the DS. Plus I restarted Ipad. I certainly miss my music. Any suggestions?
Hi oneartist,
Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble.
Firmware version 3.5.1 is pretty stable so we’re not sure why you are still having trouble.
Make sure that your Roon core is up and running as it should be.
Then open Settings-Audio and enable the Bridge II in the Roon ready section.
If you continue to have trouble please reach out to us at service@psaudio.com and we’ll get you an RMA to bring the Bridge II in to be tested here.
Thanks,
- Jeremy
I removed Roon files from my laptop. I reset my computer and did not reload Chrome. Instead I loaded IE. I reinstalled Roon which now opens and installed Roon app on my IPAD. I selected PSAudio DAC in Roon and it now plays Tidal music using the IPAD for the first time. I have no idea what caused all the trouble, but it works fine now. Roon is so much nicer to use than MControl.
I was having some drop-outs and pauses. I ran a long ethernet cable from my network box out to my laptop which has Roon Core. Everything is rock solid now. No hint of a pause. It also helped to add strategic sites to the “white list” in Bitdefender to prevent security blocking. Resetting my computer lost everything.
