Well, he finally got near the audio gear. His name is Sabs ( short for Black Sabbath ) so I guess this is now a Sabwoofer.
Handsome feline.
Our little 19-year-old 8 lb tabby, Agate, died 6 years ago, so we decided last October to welcome another cat into our household. This one’s an 11-year old, 12 lb male ginger named Pawtaka (his prior owners were an Indian doctor couple who died within a few weeks of one another; we’re told “pataka” is Hindi for “firecracker”). He’s huge compared to Agate. He’ll occasionally sit and listen with me, though he doesn’t like music with surprises in it.
Our three cats love to listen to music. If nothing is playing they park in front of the speakers in anticipation. Fortunately they have been remarkably good about not perching on components. When kittens they would seek out a solid sate amp. Pretty much locked them out of the room with tube amps in those days. Now they show little interest in tube amps. Beautiful cat, BTW.
A fine companion. Jessie looks to be a fan of Coltrane as well!
happy dog!
What a face! ![]()

bouncin’ to Manhattan Transfer
the stage is so good that she looks at various places between and sometimes outside of speakers
(20 year old speakers/mcintosh/cables; only thing ‘new’ is iFi NeoStream and PowerElite)

Smart kitty. Play her some Miles Davis Bag’s Groove just to reinforce the behavior.
She seems to love Monk; finds his atonality hilarious. ![]()
This one is for @aangen - a picture of my daughter bringing home her new bunny (my grandbunny):
Have not met yet/too soon to know what kind of music she likes.
Here’s another picture
