Give me a subwoofer tip!

I want a subwoofer with a built in function like the “DSPeaker Anti-Mode 8033” gives you and I also want to connect the sub with a “High Level” connection (to the power-amps speaker terminals) that costs around 2000 dollar, with an absolute max of 2500 dollar.

If you know about a sub that has those functions please tell me about it.

And I would like to know the winning numbers to the next PowerBall Lottery

Get a pair of MartinLogan Dynamo 1100X subs or a single 1600X. They allow for ARC room correction which gives easy, near reference results. There’s also a dedicated app to set a lot of other parameters within the DSP though a mobile device.

You can read my review here:

Thanks for your suggestions.

Probably can’t get you to your price point, but Martin Logan has ARC (Anthem Room Correction) w/ app.; and both high-level and LFE connect-ability:

…<$2K MSRP (w/ARC and app.): ML Dynamo Top End Model

PS. I don’t have a mobile phone, just an old one on my wall, but I could buy an “external” thing called the: “ARC/PBK kit” to the sub. DS.

For what it’s worth, I liked the Dynamo 1100X subwoofers MartinLogan sent for review so much that I bought the pair to use in my theater.

Don’t know if you had already made your purchase yet but check out BK Electronics in the UK. They used to make subs for Rel and others.

I had them make me a pair of PS12-300S-PRs and they are amazing IMO, plus you really get more than your money’s worth. Mine are the ones with the 12" front and passive 12" downfiring. The pair is about the price of a single T9i.

You’ll have to read the reviews.

Hello, no, I’ve not bought a new sub yet because I have not found a sub yet with a built in DSP for max 2500 dollar/2000 Euro but thanks for you BK Electronics-suggestion, I’ll check them out.

Hello again, they seem to bee unavailable in Sweden but thanks anyway.

Btw, i was a skeptic about the review saying that the sub will go below 20 Hertz. I did a test and was at first disappointed when the sub seem to have faded away at about 25 but then when it hit about 15 Hz, the furniture started to shake. All things aside, the sub is fast, bass is subtle, and tight. I had that make me a pair in Cherry, the wood grain matches, and the serial numbers sequential. Good luck with your search.

They did not list United states as being somewhere they would mail to but I called.

Bk will ship to Sweden, but the carriage cost is about £46, or 10% of the sub price. I have both a P12-300SB-PR and its predecessor (identical apart from the absence of a passive radiator) on different systems. I have been very pleased with their performance, and in the UK they represent exceptional value for money
