I would probably just call it a power distributor as Furutech does with their NCF-treated power strips, but with some passive conditioning that does not employ traditional RLC filters. It sounds similar to Jack Bybee’s “quantum purifiers” and while I’m certainly not a physicist I think any claims of true quantum effects are pretty dubious as those generally happen at cryogenic temperatures. It could be more akin to piezoelectric effect that Furutech espouses to help damp resonances. The descriptions of helping the flow of electrons back and forth is frankly a little silly - these are EMF waves after all. Poking around it’s possible the Hafner is acting like a resonant RF “trap” - some exotic lab equipment apparently employ these types of filters for extremely sensitive ADC/measurements - but anyone who actually knows obviously isn’t divulging.
Btw for traditional filters, I really like the Furman linear filters. A PST-8D handily outperformed the PSA Octet I had back in the day, and their simple 2-outlet box made a nice improvement on my OLED + Google streamer. I have a Furman Elite for my other system and it wasn’t night and day on the Sony Bravia II but it seems effective.
To sum it up, it seems nice.
Rune refers to the PowerZone as a power optimizer.
I mean, they can call it whatever they want I suppose.
“Optimizer” seems a stretch for something with no ability to correct basic power quality issues eg PFC. If it were me, maybe “enhancer.”
Is the PowerZone not optimizing your system? Oh, it is? Not much of a stretch then.
Power Aura Relaxer
Fair enough. The EE in me was kicking in and getting a little literalist. But if we wanted to be literal, the last thing we’d be is audiophiles…
I vote for this one!

How about UPD–Ultra-expensive Pixie Dust.
That question seems to imply you are not a believer.
I’m an agnostic. I’ll never afford one in order to draw a conclusion. I don’t have enough info to understand the tech, and I think it’s overpriced anyway. Just my opinion from my economic and practical viewpoint.
To be fair, for you all audio gear is overpriced. It’s a very low bar.
No it’s not. I’m just in low orbit, I can’t realistically fly at your altitude and that’s because of my resources. I do think that these top tier products ARE overpriced, they do not need to be this expensive. It’s only these pie-in-the-sky priced things I think are really over-priced. The rung below I believe are just priced out of my reach.
If it’s out of my reach, it’s overpriced. So it is said, so it shall be.
That is an interesting point. I agree in some aspects. R&D only costs so much. I think some things are indeed way over priced and I think others based on # of sales and hand craftmanship the price has to cover all of that. The fewer you sell the more you have to make on each one. The higher the cost to build makes that number snowball. After taking the tour of PS Audio and hearing the number of units per month, looking at the size of the facility the number of employees etc.. yeah I see why. This is why ChiFi is so appealing to many. Eversolo, Matrix, Denafrips and Topping are gobbling up much of the market since it so cheap.
Also take into account they really do try to Make as much as possible in the USA. The PMG front plates are sourced in TN, they use steel instead of aluminum for chassis parts since its all they can get in US. (this is what I was informed during tour). That adds much to the cost.
Now cables, I am not sure the sum of the whole adds up to these numbers I see. There are many really good cables for what many call outrageous but here they fall into the low cost category. ICONOCLAST comes to mind. Most of the world would never pay that, but here they seem to be entry level cables. We talk about Stealth where a full loom costs as much as a new car. (well a cheap new or slightly used). I am in the same category as Lonson, I cannot keep up with many of you hear, but I do enjoy hearing about the journeys you get to take. Living vicariously through others.
@RonP you are like the forum Yoda. Wise beyond your years.
More like wise beyond my ears.
Or at least for me I can say “My ears are bigger than my wallet”
