I don’t know if it’s the best for gut punch but I really like Tricycle! I’ve added that album to my library.
I’ve noticed over the years that punch can vary from song to song on different systems set up in different room. One of the hardest hitting sounds I ever got was listening to Queen in DTS surround on DVD, all speakers set to large. On the harder hits there was no way I could keep from blinking and flinching. Maybe that’s different than gut punch. I would consider it more like getting slapped in the face midbass. I cannot get the same effect in any 2 channel setup I’ve had so far, even with subwoofers.
