Have you ever heard a shield improve a speaker cable?

These are for established facts usually not shielded, but then many especially higher end ones are.
It’s difficult to assess this benefit with entirely different cables, making this reference needs having listened to the same cable type shielded versus not.
Any experiences?

(Since the shield affects capacitance, best assessed with shields distanced fairly far - this should be about the possible benefit of shielding and not nuance difference due to capacitive effects)

Good question. My Furutech DSS-4.1 speaker cable has a shield. Of course, it is not possible to create or carry out a comparison. I’ve thought about trying a JSSG shield with extra wire. Whether it has any use :man_shrugging:
