As in, Hoer-Wege PSU is just something I plugin to the wall and then to the Auralic, like any power supply? No “installation” and “45 minutes” needed?
No it involves opening the Auralic unit removing the stock PSU inside and replacing with Hoer-Wege PSU.
Depends on what Auralic unit you are working on could determine install time.

I had difficulty installing the power supply in my G2.1 because of the internal brass cage which was hard to work around. Finally I had to get a friend handy with this type of thing to fix it for me properly. Unfortunately the display no longer works but that is insignificant unless I wish to trade or sell the Aries in the future. I am thrilled with the sound I am getting from the Aries. It sounds as good as my PST for the most part depending on the recording. I am using an AQ Dragon HDMI cable from PST to DSD and I am using an AQ Wel Signature AES/EBU cable from Aries to DSD. I am enjoying my sound.

As the cable to the display is not attached to the psu board, I believe the bugger can be in the socket connection at the display end.
That thin cable can be (gently) pushed deeper in the socket that one tnink. Just remember to open the lock at the top of the socket… and close it after.

I had it connected but it had a greenish hue about the colour of the display and then the display just went dark after one evening. I could not get it to work again despite having it looked at by someone who is experienced. The lock connection for the ribbon at the display end is broken and the display never worked again after the the one night it worked with the green tinge. In any event the streamer sounds awesome with the hoer-wege power supply despite the fact the display doesn’t work. My Aries sounds very close to my PST SACD player.

I bought an Aries Femto from Germany in perfect condition and it came with a power supply produced by Hoer Wege, to my surprise. I didn’t know much about this gentleman who produces power supplies for Auralic products, what I wanted to ask is, is there any point in changing this power supply with something else, I’m used to Sbooster. Why do I ask?, because the sound sounds quite sharp to me, very precise, so precise and to the point that some notes predominate and distract from the music, precisely for this reason. I wanted to make it a little more relaxed.

Steve at Hoer-Wege makes wonderful power supplies. I would assume nicer than Sbooster but you can always try it to know for sure.

Try different power cables.
You should contact Hoer-Wege and see what they tell you. They know their product pretty well. It could be something simple like don’t store it in an aquarium.

thank you for the answers, I just tested it in parallel with sbooster and I want to say that the difference is colossal. I’m not saying that sbooster sounds bad, it really sounds more relaxed but the difference is like having a soft blanket over the speakers. With Hoer everything comes back to life. I didn’t expect the sources made by Mr. Hoer to be so well executed.
I also tested with the original source and I can tell you a ranking:
Hoer is ranked 1st followed by sbooster and finally the original. The difference between the original and sbooster is truly an improvement, and between sbooster and Hoer, we are talking about another league in favor of Hoer. I’m going to keep sbooster too, who knows what crazy idea I’ll have to build another system.
