I want to upgrade the op amps in nuwave dsd

Hello, Does anyone know if its safe to change the opamps n5532a, it has 1 per channel and i would like to upgrade them to a newer better version, i know its a dual op amp but i want to make sure its safe? Also it has 2 voltage regulators, anyone know its they are set at ± 15volts?

First, if you are not experienced with replacing SMD parts, I would not attempt this upgrade as you are likely to brick things. Secondly, due to the noise filtering and shaping these amps are doing, I would be hesitant to drop in a replacement without carefully parameter matching.

Hey, if you’re thinking about upgrading the op-amps in your PS Audio NuWave DSD,use high-quality, drop-in compatible op-amps like the OPA627, AD797, or Burson V6 Vivid/Classic (discrete). Just make sure they’re pin-compatible, work with the voltage in your unit, and physically fit inside the case some of the Bursons are pretty tall. And if the op-amps aren’t socketed already, it’s worth adding sockets to make future swaps easier.

I can do it. I just wanted to make sure they are ok to swap, i am actually doing alot to it.

Im upgrading the power supply capacitor and bypassing them with a small capacitor to help it be faster, I am also doing the voltage regulators to sparkos discretes, im doing this mods 1st. Then hear it like that for a while then do the op amps, im thinking of doing sparkos or burson. I already have both in stock.
