Enjoy, and feel free to ad some recommandation!

Yes, AI didn’t refered:

Bruce Springsteen

Jim Morisson

Glen Miller

Queen singer

etc. feel free to complete!

Maybe it’s me
 maybe I’m just OG
but wouldn’t it be more interesting to rely on our personal experiences and memories to develop a list like this?

I think it would be a lot more organic – and authentic – than regurgitating something that an AI agent produced.

{Sigh
} I remember a time

Well go ahead, AI find, what my memories fail to remember! so feel free to enhance! For me, this lack or slow memory is it Alzheimer or just an old man, with an old hard drive in his head? or to many years with my wife!

without question from human the AI is nothing.

and Google search, and even Google guy admit, is not the search engine it was. It found nothing these day.

Same for bing and DDgo. Last time to find the info something that I search: I use Yahoo, but AI, is a short cut, if you take time to verify what it will bring you, it could enhance your day!

Are we now to lazy, now just to wait post and do a “like” and “criticize” all effort others do to find something new or searching improvement for them or others [Movie that I miss in the last 65 years]. Or finding a movie you never saw? and with a forum, like PS + AI: I have found music, I would never found in a store or just discussing with others.

You are all so helpful to stimulate brain, discussion and discovery, it amazing what you all know and share on HiFi, example, for my part: it’s been since subwoofer exist, that I struggle to manage it, you guy help, settle that in 2 days! Wow, now I don’t only have one, but two and it sound amazing!

AI, if fun to think outside the box, I know, it a scary place, when you go outside you comfort zone!

Like someone ask to my friend the fire fighter and musician Shawn: How come, you are so far, from you root, well look man, there a hole three above the ground to explore!

So, I welcome you to improve this thread, if you do nothing, it’s just critic, like the guy in the new, that discard new artist and shame on him, winning is life with discredit!

Like Darwin in evolution theory, it is not the strong, or most intelligent that survive, it the one that adapt!

And like in Chaos theory:

before pandemic, we have a stable system, with the pandemic we ad energy in this system to destabilize it, an it will eventually stabilize again with more stability than before. But until than, we are in a Chaos phase and it’s gonna be a bumpy ride and we will never go back at what it was before!

If you want to experiment as what is Chaos theory:

be very careful, you use a microwave with a glass of water, you make it warm/hot, than, you take it out without burning yourself, it is not boiling. You take a sugar cube [not the record, a real sugar cube]. And in the hot glass of water you drop the sugar cube, using glove by doing this you had energy in a stable system. It’s gonna boil like crazy!

So AI and Pandemic are the same thing, a sugar cube, that ad energy to a system and make boil like crazy, after if finish boiling it’s gonna be more stable than the water alone!

I am a vintage guy, that is conscient that he is obsolete and a Dinosaur in HiFi and I found marvelous that a guy Paul is so in the moment and embrace the new reality with all opportunity, that the technology brings! streamer, DAC, mega studio recording, all of that

So AI is there to stay, it is just born, soon we won’t need a OS in our computer, just a AI, and the guy that that work on the iPhone, is already building one working with open AI, without a screen, just a Gizmo

next AI gen, will be a pin, like in Star trek that does it all. So Apple and Windows are like my records going out of the market slowly, until all guy hit there best before date, and there kid throw to the dumpster there CD and all our old Black CD that play on a turntable. There still money to make! but what will happen when boomer goes condo, they sell, no place, but if everyone sell together, value decrease!

the Star Trek pin: Bip, play this music, bip, send to my screen this movie!

my mind is like a parachute, it work better when open!

with respect, If you don’t contribute, it’s just critics!

and sorry, nostalgia is in the past, for me! so once a upon a time kids our phone were attach to the wall, and screen were Black and White and computer, only amber text no image!

And I understand, that I should not post anymore, so Ok, just reading for now

Sorry to disturbed you!

Best of luck and regards

Umm, okay. I think I get your point
 maybe.

I’m not a Luddite, so don’t get me wrong. I use some AI agents fairly often, usually to answer specific, technical questions. Sort of like the old Google search. Usage of AI is not really an issue for me. To each his own.

One of the things I like best about this forum is that members talk directly to others about their experiences, and we tend to value that. Indeed, the entire premise, here, is to ask questions, get opinions, and find out what works for others. This is done in a conversational way, among friends, some of whom we’ve met, others we only know online.

“How does this new Blurflenoggin sound?” “What cables work best with the mumblefratziz preamp?”

And so on.

To keep on topic, I remember:

The Sound of Music. They just celebrated the 60th anniversary of that movie’s release. I can still recite the words to the good night song, “So Long, Farewell.”

The Wizard of Oz. Brilliant and breathtaking, especially for its time. That first blast of color when Dorothy woke up in Oz was a life-event for me. But that took years because all we had was a black & white TV when the movie first came out. I wasn’t cracked up about the Flying Monkeys, but really, who was?

Oklahoma. Okay, not my favorite, but my parents seemed to like it. It featured Shirley Jones’ debut, and of course, she went on to star in a music-oriented TV show, The Partridge Family.

Show Boat. Old Man River. ‘Nuff said.

(No AI was harmed in recalling the above musically-oriented movies.)

Spinal Tap :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

When I find it, will rent or purchase, because the CD is so good

And I just purchase online, “a river runs throught ii” with Mark Isham music.

and long time ago, Vangelis 1492 and Antartica, and Blade Runner

And I hope this one for Grand Kid, but Kid love the song Baby Mine for Dumbo!

And for when I was a young adult: Heavy Metal, the cartoon version, it was my playlist in my car for a long time!

The Wall

Across the Universe

All together now

Yello Submarine with psychedelic cartoon of beatles

2001 Odyssey, that teach me classic

from my old purchase on Apple TV, that I still use to purchase film sometimes cheaper than purchase! [no AI was use for this answer, only my collection in Apple store! :), and I have try to be more human in my answer
 :face_with_monocle: ]

Obviously the best Hifi movie is American Psycho

The Aristocat, back then never found the band who was playing in the movie, but i forgot. George Burns supposed to made the Jazz arrangement for the film.

  • Eva Gabor as Duchess: She performed several songs, including “Scales and Arpeggios.”

  • Phil Harris as Thomas O’Malley: He sang “Everybody Wants to Be a Cat,” showcasing his distinct style.

  • Sterling Holloway as the voice of Napoleon: He contributed to the film’s unique vocal performances.

  • Scatman Crothers as the jazz cat: He added a spirited jazz influence through his character’s singing and performance.

and the performance of Louis Prima [Chef Gorilla], in the Jungle Book. This one, my kid loved it. singer were Louis Prima and Phil Harris.
