Ouch, a 50% lay-off attributed to the acquisition! I had not anticipated this. My understanding is the music community was more than a bit apprehensive regarding the acquisition. Seems their feelings were well founded. Thanks for sharing.
A disappointing shame, I am a member of Bandcamp.

Carla Bley RIP
An interesting piece, and has relevance to at least three different threads on here in the past day or so
I remember seeing it fly overhead to land at JFK in NY in the 1980’s. What an amazing site, like some far out bird. My uncle was a total fanatic about the Concord. He had reams and reams of data, news stories - you name it. I believe he was in the process of collating all that in order to write a book on the subject. Sadly, he passed away before he could finish it. I never knew what became of all his notes and files.
That is a shame.

Living under the glide path for an airport sometimes has its advantages…
I was in awe of the plane and still am. Unable to be supported by the lower classes, of course. I suspect, if it were a military plane some Senator would force congress to keep it going today. That way the masses would support it. I had wondered why the US President didn’t have one.
Having traveled around the U.S and experiencing so many of its scenic marvels first hand, I’ve always found architectural design and implementation to be just as amazing.
Being a resident of Manhattan means living in a constantly evolving and shifting landscape of structures - here today and gone tomorrow - for better or for worse. This article captures the highly imaginative and brilliantly designed buildings by BIG, one of many companies, that expand the limits of construction.
One can click on any picture in the article to get the full background/history of that design.
Because it was european, not american?
Oh yes, the one time that billionaires let boundaries thwart them.
