I don’t know enough to evaluate what 70 durometer means itself or in relation to audio needs. SVS sells sorbothane feet for their subs and I tried them under the 68 lb speakers on a medium berber carpet floor over what seems to be not-sufficiently-anchored wood framing. However, they didn’t compare to the Gaia I, which itself didn’t compare to the EVP. Right now, I have a couple of SVS sets under my subs, but didn’t trust them alone, and added EVPs underneath. I’ve just purchased 78 lb speakers and ordered Gaia II’s, so will try to compare them with the EVP’s.
So I’m finally putting the sound room together in my new house, and was looking at my stock of spare footers. I don’t have Bordeauxs, even though I use Isoacoustics products in other places, but I do have Cerapucs. The problem I see is that, even if I use only three, the total weight for those would be 496 pounds! Doesn’t that seem like they wouldn’t be right for a 96 pound P20?
Doesn’t the mfr of your Cerapucs specify a range?
They seem only to specify a maximum.
If I’m correct, they employ a ball and socket design, rather than compression of some elastomer.
I’d just try them, since you already own them… I doubt you’ll hurt anything except maybe your back, moving the P20 around.
I bought 4 Bordeaux’s after following this thread and just put them next to the existing P20 feet. Made a big difference worth every penny. I then went on and put bronzes under the rest of my kit as well.
