LHY AS8 pro+ has arrived today, just installed it in my system. Will keep the original SFP’s for a couple of weeks running in.
It will be interesting to hear what you think about the improved clock!
Not just a better clock, upgraded and magnetic shielded power supply, internal wiring, clock housing, etc.
Unit is still running in, unfortunately I caught a bad cold last week and my ears are still “closed”.
I imagine it will be on the same level (or slightly exceeds) the SW10 pro, when my ears are open again I will give some findings.
Did someone compare it to the SW10 Pro?
Very happy with the AS8 pro+ in my system, timing and transients have improved, quieter background and separation of instruments and voices is top notch. Soundstage width is simular to the original AS8 but soundstage depth has increased.
Overall the system musicality has improved and is non fatiguing.
Note: running in takes time, turning off the unit now and then helped speeding up the running in. After a restart it would sound noticibly crisper. Now after about two months I don’t hear the difference anymore after a restart
