I had the pleasure to test the Tempus switch in my system.
As promised, here attached my thoughts:

Thanks! That was a big and complex review. I want to make sure I understand. The one combination you scored 9. Is Stealth Ultra to Tempus to Muon Pro system to the streamer the order? I don’t know where Pink Fran comes in? Is it to be used instead of Muon ethernet cable (part of pro system)? I vaguely remember you decided not using Muon Ethernet cable, but I was not sure.
Another fine review @luca.pelliccioli
This will make the folks at network acoustics very happy when the new orders start pooring in.
Sorry, Donald. Let me clarify my poor and confused English!
We are talking about Ethernet cables and which combination I prefer in my system, where I scored 9!
Upstream {before the switch)
I need a cable from router to Tempus:
the STEALTH ULTRA Ethernet is my new preferred choice.
Downstream (after the switch)
Muon Pro filter
A has on one side a fixed short Ethernet patch cable (like the pigtail in your Swiss Box) that I plugged directly into the server/streamer
B requires on the other end a second Ethernet cable
the Pink Faun Interlink Ethernet cable is my new preferred choice
To summarize:
Router > STEALTH cable > Tempus switch > Pink Faun cable > Muon Pro filter (with its pigtail) > Statement server/streamer
Notes:
I don’t use what they call the Muon Pro System, that is Muon Pro Filter + Muon Pro Streaming Ethernet cable. I don’t like their cable, I use only the filter
Hope that helps.
Thanks, Paul.
They are always kind with me, they have sent the Tempus to test without any cost for me. I can send it back without shipment cost, all at their expense.
They probably know me well enough to know that I would pay for it after my test!
They did the same with the Muon2 USB cable and the Muon Pro system, of which the Muon Pro Streaming cable will be sent back, in fact the only thing I didn’t decide to buy.
Oh they also offered me a generous discount to be honest, need to mention it!
That’s what I gathered, and I remember you didn’t use the Muon Ethernet cable that came with the Pro filter.
For people didn’t follow your previous posts closely, your follow-up explanation helps to clarify your preference.
When I upgrade my streamer, I wonder if my LHY twin switches will help MU2. Your review gives me a potential switch upgrade if my current twins do not pair with MU2 as well as with Lumin. Thanks for the review!
My pleasure. In my crazy head, testing and reviewing stuff is another funny part of this hobby.
I guess the MU2 will be immune to switches, as Al always says.
Excellent company to do business with! I know @aangen is talking about getting another Muon Pro.
After the great detailed review you have earned that discount for yourself. Enjoy!
I agree with you. I think Al will use the second one in a different path, not daisy chained so to speak.
Not the same scenario as in Al’s system but they recommend 2 filters on different paths in some cases like this:
I wonder why they don’t recommend another one between the switch and the router?
One more thing, rumor has it that installing the MUON Pro backward, fixed cable into the switch, removable cable into the device is a good thing. I am currently using mine that way. I guess it creates “Double Reverse Silence”. Strong stuff!
He didn’t share his plan but yes one before and after the switch would make sense. I know his guy Sean gets a good deal on network acoustics gear.
Oh hi @aangen didnt realize that you are here.
Right, isn’t router noisier than server?
I am guessing we should just replace any and all Ethernet Cables with MUON Pros.
Great review Luca. Can you indicate which of the Stealth Ethernet Black Magic Ultra cable you
used? Did it have a tuning ring? Can you wager having the same pair of cables from either Stealth or Pink Faun could be a better combination?
To be honest I don’t like Muon Ethernet cable in my system.
Interesting. You don’t have to get super detailed but what was the biggest difference using the stealth and pink faun over the Muon cable? Thanks
Thanks, Greg!
I use the STEALTH ULTRA Ethernet cable that you can’t find on the official website (just on the price list page).
During last months I tried pairing Ethernet cables from the same brand like AQ and Sablon. Didn’t like the result, this brought me to the conclusion that maybe this is not the way.
To be clear, never tried the combo with 2 STEALTH or Pink Faun cables at the time. So all is possible.
STEALTH is more STEALTH, organic + balanced + textured + rich.
Pink Faun shines in realism, lifelike representation of voice in particular.
Muon Streaming is detailed but I found it dry, it can’t light the fire of music in my heart.
NA’s position on Muon Pro placement has been that the filter should go downstream from the cable. I thought this counter intuitive, you would think you should filter first and send the cleaned signal via the best cable. They later said that most customers preferred the reverse. They describe the sonic differences in their literature. My take is (like a fuse) use what order/direction you like.
I have the filter first in my system. I’ll try the other direction some time, but if I follow Luca’s advice,
other cables do less harm.
