There was a slight smoothness in music with a clock link between the two switches, and it’s subtle that one will not be able to pick up in a blind test for sure.
OK great. - should I get the one from LHY? - sounds like having it will help me sleep better at night lol…

Yes, they recommended to use their 50 ohm clock cable.

I can also recommend the LHY combination. Also consider deep diving into buying the right (Finisar) SFP module for both. There’s room for tweaking here too!

Initially I was thinking I would get 2 LHY FMC - One to my Roon Nucleus Titan Server and One to my Lumin - using both SFP’s on SW-10 to isolate them both with FO - Then I realized I could get 1 SW-6 instead - put both of these streaming devices on there to isolate them with 1 box instead of 2 and one piece of Fiber instead of 2. Excited to try this,
See my post 198, and I still favor Optospan transceivers and SM FO cable. Clock cable is a LHY BNC.

Does anyone find that SFP’s have a burn in time?
And…I just received 4 Finisair SFP’s - 1 seems to be bad.
Perhaps they do, but you won’t know if the device you use them in is also burning in…

Yes, the letters and sizing of the words are a bit different. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of them to show. Don’t buy them from eBay.

this is supposed to be the original, which I bought from Afterdark:
although when looking at photo from their site, there are differences above and below the barcode 
if they came from afterdark they are the real deal - im guessing they are just older stock - are these the mod versions ?

i’m not sure what are mod versions (something new?), I bought the SFP+ kit around beginning Feb 2022 - AfterDark. Project ClayX Constellation Reference Finisar SFP Fiber Cab
It made really nice change to original SFP modules and cable I got with EtherRegen.

ah sorry should have read higher in the thread 
the afterdark ones are valid @Maniac they added shielding inside these units so in theory meant to sound better

I got some new good (I think) Finisair SFP’s from Amazon - they were good. - then today received the Optospans and a piece of their single mode fiber as dchang05 had recommended - just played a Lee Ritenour tune that I very familiar with - pleasantly surprised - It’s remarkable the difference - so good!
I definitely hear a positive difference. I am returning everything else I tried…Thank you so much!
