I have stated that I think the MU2, by itself, is a value leader. For me, putting an additional preamp, interconnect, and power cord more than tripled the initial expense. Given you have cost advantages locally and there are used MU2’s in Europe to be had, you might be best served to start there.

if we have the assumption the DACs are competitive in these options Someone who wants/uses a preamp may lean towards PMG due to savings. Particularly if they do NOT use roon which I think is a requirement of MU2.
People headed towards the KISS method, the MU is a Swiss Army Knife with Roon bundled as well. Savings on power cords and interconnects too.
