MQA - Optical I/O from Mac Mini to DSD DAC = CD quality :(

I have connected a Mac Mini through the optical output to PS Audio DSD DAC with Bridge I.

I’m streaming Tidal HiFi Masters, but the DAC believes that it is 44.1/16 and not MQA.

(Meanwhile waiting for a Bridge II card, I have connected a Mac Mini to a Synology Nas 1515+, I use the Tidal app for listening from the Mac Mini.)

PSA DSD will only unfold MQA if you use the bridge. If you want to use the Tidal app running on your Mac mini over optical, you can use settings in the Tidal app to do the first unfold but it won’t be full MQA. There are instructions on both in these forums.
