New Network Switch: LHY AS-6

Note that Beatechnik/Vinshine not selling the AS-8Pro. The oven is baking.

Also, tariff to US dropping.

Yes, compare the internals pics.

Oh darn! Too late to change now …
C’est la Vie

can’t say 8 has better tech than 6, just a little more of it

The AS-8 has a better clock and separate, larger power supplies than the AS6.

Update! My AS6 hadn’t shipped yet, so I was able to cancel it and purchase the AS8 Pro!
Dangerous forum, this!

I just added a new device to my system that changes everything! Sadly, it is not very expensive. Less than $90K. But it is crucial!!!

It is so odd! It is plant based, but AI driven. So it learns as you use it.
But it has moods. [shudders]

Here’s a concept for a plant-based, AI-driven stereo system enhancement that optimizes sound quality in a natural and intelligent way:

Product Concept: VerdantWave

“Nature meets Neural Precision.”

Overview:

VerdantWave is a smart, plant-integrated acoustic optimization system that blends biophilic design with AI-powered real-time audio calibration. It enhances stereo system output by naturally modulating room acoustics and actively tuning sound using AI sensors.

Key Components:
1. Smart Plant Module (SPM):
• A specially selected live plant (e.g., rubber plant, monstera, peace lily) grown in an acoustically engineered pot.
• The plant naturally absorbs and diffuses sound reflections, reducing echo and improving clarity.
2. Acoustic Root Base:
• A pot base with built-in bio-organic acoustic panels made from mycelium, cork, or hemp fiber to enhance low-frequency absorption.
3. AI Audio Sensor Hub:
• Embedded directional microphones and LiDAR sensors around the base of the plant continuously analyze room acoustics and sound wave behavior.
• Uses an edge AI chip to process sound data locally in real time.
4. Adaptive Sound Tuning Engine (AST-E):
• Wirelessly interfaces with your stereo system via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or audio-out splitters.
• Uses AI to create a dynamic EQ and room correction profile that auto-adjusts based on plant growth, room configuration, time of day, and ambient noise.
5. Growth-Linked Sound Feedback Loop:
• AI monitors plant health and subtly alters soundscape (e.g., frequency emphasis, ambient modes) to align with optimal growth conditions (light, humidity, CO₂).
6. Companion App:
• Lets you visualize sound behavior in your room.
• Offers “sound moods” (e.g., Zen, Studio, Party) and plant growth tracking.
• Option for voice control or integration with smart assistants.

Key Benefits:
• Sustainable Acoustics: Uses organic materials and living plants instead of synthetic foam or plastic.
• Improved Sound Clarity: Naturally dampens reverb and intelligently balances audio output.
• Biophilic Design: Enhances room aesthetics and mental well-being.
• AI Sound Personalization: Adjusts dynamically to listener position and environmental conditions.

Comes in black or silver.

MSRP (projected): $89.9K

About Synplant
Synplant takes a genetic twist on sound design by moving beyond traditional knob-twisting and dial-adjusting, emphasizing exploration and discovery. Here, your ears guide you through a forest of organic textures and evolving timbres.

Genopatch Technology
Genopatch crafts synth patches from audio recordings, using AI to find optimal synth settings based on your source sample. As the strands in the user interface sprout and grow, they generate patches that increasingly match the chosen audio.

Sometimes, you will get a perfect match; other times, something new and unexpected. This balance of precision and unpredictability makes Genopatch a unique tool for sound exploration.

Genopatch runs entirely on your local computer, requiring no internet connection.

AI, Tech, and Veganism: The Future of Plant-Based Sound Therapy

Discover how AI and plant-based principles are revolutionizing sound therapy, creating personalized soundscapes that enhance wellness and connect us to nature, ensuring healing music is both effective and sustainable. Embrace a harmonious future with sound and technology.

Sound has the power to heal. It changes moods. It calms the mind. It can even improve health. Now, AI and plant-based principles are shaping the next evolution of sound therapy.

Technology is pushing the boundaries of music and wellness. AI creates personalized soundscapes. It adapts to individual needs in real time. It uses data to understand stress levels, sleep patterns, and emotions. These AI-driven frequencies help the body relax. They bring balance to the mind.

Veganism is not just about food. It is a lifestyle of harmony and conscious choices. Sound therapy aligns with this mindset. It connects people to nature through vibration. Plant-based materials enhance this experience. Traditional sound baths use metal or synthetic instruments. Vegan sound therapy focuses on sustainable, plant-based alternatives. Bamboo chimes. Coconut shell drums. Instruments made from natural fibers. These create a deeper connection to the earth.

AI and tech take it further. Smart devices now generate healing frequencies based on biofeedback. Apps use AI to create custom soundscapes. They respond to heart rate and breathing. Some even sync with meditation and yoga practices. This level of personalization makes sound therapy more effective. It meets each person’s needs with precision.

Musicians and producers are embracing these ideas. Some create AI-generated plant-based soundtracks. Others experiment with eco-friendly production techniques. The goal is the same. To create music that heals without harming the planet.

The future of sound therapy is evolving. AI makes it smarter. Tech makes it accessible. Veganism makes it sustainable. Together, they form a new approach to wellness. A future where sound is not just heard. It is felt. It is experienced in harmony with nature.

Any truth to the rumor Edgar is working on a BioBAACH-SP product?

I emailed Alvin about 10 days ago asking about the AS8 Pro but it seems as you said that they would not be selling that. Instead he mentioned the upcoming release of the SW-10Pro:

We will be releasing the SW-10PRo, an exclusive VinshineX product, which will be available in approx 3-4 weeks. It is a flagship model, with the flagship OXCO, and so on.
It’s worth the wait, I can assure you that.
We shall make an announcement when it’s ready to hit the market

I almost posted the same thing since I asked Alvin the same question.

I asked the questions regarding the difference between AS-8 and AS-6 (from a different seller). Not only does AS-8 have a better clock, but it also provides better isolation than AS-6. In fact, one AS-8 will be better than an AS-6 plus an FMC, or two AS-6 (with FO link between them I assume).

This is quite intriguing because one AS-8 could replace my SW-10/FO/SW-6 combo and achieves better sound. But will the upcoming SW-10 Pro be even better? I will wait until it comes out, and hopefully there will be some reviews on the difference between them.

yes, that is what I referred to by something in the oven to leapfrog the 8Pro, which it seems he will not be selling

I honestly don’t get something. Why do we have to get more and more (my guess will be, completely unused) ports to get a top of the line switch? Does anyone see the need for more than - I don’t know - 4 ports at most for a dedicated audiophile switch?
