“New Record Day”

Bootleg set of early Dylan.

Sounds amazing.

Just in from Denmark:

If you like jazz trios/“piano jazz”, I suggest you look up Mr. Bebe.

I really enjoy his work.

Just arrived, after a CD, Vinyl and SACD, a fourth copy of my favourite Hendrix album

Last night I went to a listening party at Innovative Audio in NYC.
It was run by Chad Kassem and Michael Fremer.
This is the new (and not yet available) Rhino 45rpm version.
Played at highish volume on The Big System it sounded magnif.
Sounds good on my little system too.

All mono pressings done by RTI.

RSD Haul

Awesome.

Enjoy.

RSD-BF ’25, I picked up the Ayler, Lateef, both Kirks, Evans and a lightly used Steve Coleman LP. It was a pricey day. Been listening to Chick Corea today, so the aforementioned are waiting patiently after a proper cleaning, and cataloging.

Octave Records package arrived

That record in the lower left of your image is a real keeper, IMO.

Enjoy.

Today’s thrift store goodies:

Fresh from the mailbox:

Hat Tip: @lonson

I have a couple of Bebe’s - Echoes and Home. Love them both!

I just got the cardboard case Indigos last week from The Elusive Disc. Definitely an improvement over the initial CD transfer, plus extra tracks. That old one can go in the sale pile now.

Just got in I think the only Tom Harrell cd on High Note I have not had before, “First Impressions.” I love his work, especially his releases on High Note.

Newly arrived from Magnolia, I’m With Her and The Milk Carton Kids. I hesitated a bit too long on The Civil Wars’ Barton Hollow, and missed it.

I just grabbed one off eBay. Been meaning to that after @lonson post about it. Been streaming it today and it’s so good.

It really is. The best descriptor I can think of is “Enjoyable”.

And the overall recording quality is a bonus.
