New subwoofer on the horizon

The 31 does an excellent job. And it takes up less space. The 32 is most likely great to live with as well. Can’t go wrong with either. The S812 should also be considered.

Very good, I truly believe I have almost all the information at my disposal…
Now, I hope, real listening to the products will begin…
Thank you so much, everyone!

I did a new critical listen to the Magico A-Sub and, unfortunately for my pocket (:smiling_face_with_tear:), I still damn much like it.

I’ll be listening to the REL soon.

Sounds like the 25’s are crap compared to the 31’s.

Lol

That just plain can’t be.

Whatever happens, fortunately, it will always be the ears that choose. :woman_shrugging:

This article, taken from the REL website, talks about this possibility:

What a weird article. The N32 isn’t THAT MUCH LARGER. But six of them would be I suppose. I believe I have the opportunity to try adding two more N31’s to the two I already have. But it would mean certain and sudden death should I try it. And rightfully so.

No matter what anyone writes anywhere, a pair of N25’s isn’t suffering at all. And with articles like this happening the ability to pick up two or four more N25’s at bargain prices is a strong possibility.

What’s your six pack, N31’s?
No, N25’s.
Kewl!

very true

Something to consider if you are a six pack kind of guy.
(and you are, aren’t you?)

I should first see if there isn’t a six-pack of dollars in my bank. :joy:

If it were up to me I would use a 12-pack-rack!

Nobody would look down their nose at a six pack of N25s. Or of S812s for that matter.
But being an old guy, racing towards the memory care unit in some hellhole somewhere, the N31’s will be easier for my wife’s helpers to toss in the dumpster she can’t wait to order.

The problem is that I’ve been a megalomaniac since I was a child…

Ever tried Ascendo?

Just to make some “audio voyeurs” like me drool. :joy:
The Magico factory in California where their loudspeakers are assembled.

There are also “small” A-SUBs in this photo.

How I would love to have a hydraulic forklift (transporter trolley). :innocent: :joy:

This might interest you what they say about using the amps with Magico.

Oh, thank you very much, my friend. :slightly_smiling_face:
I like to be informed, thanks again.
Ah, in that article there is only one error (which blurs my vision, ehehehe ) the 1.25KW has 1,200 watts and not 1,250 as the model might suggest.

Yes I caught that too. But with the headroom of these amps or any McIntosh amp getting 70 or 80 percent more than rated power with distortion creeping up to 0.10 from 0.005% who’s going to split hairs?

You’re right too… :yum:

The 25’s and 32’s are the same size. I’d say the 31’s could fit inside the cabinet but like you said not by much tho. The 31’s 12” vs the 25/32 15” woofers. I think the 31’s big advantage is speed. The 25’s are fast they are perfect match with the CLX. If you have a faster speaker like a estelon the 31 may be a better fit. Rel seems to market the 2 reference subs according to room size over speed. I’m sure the 32 is a phenomenal sub and fast. 6 of them would be transcending.
