News from Germany

There is a new DAC/NetPlayer from Audionet which seems to be very competitiv to the PWD including gapless via LAN.

The software is compatible to the PWD ( but without gapless via LAN, therefore we need a new bridge, I

There is an App for Android

The App for iPhone will come in the near future.

And a Remote Control Point for Mac or PC

Works very good with NAS/Vortexbox and PWD.

Very interesting!
The GUI reminds me of Devialet (exotic).
Too bad it doesn't support iPad.... :-q

Shall be an option in the near future ( not as PSA defines "near future )

I will surely try this.

Looks great. Too bad the hardware side (their DNC) is $9000 U.S.

@tony22 In Germany the PWD+Bridge is 5200€, the DNC 4900€.

But my main reason to post was the sw.

Would be nice, if someone with an Android would test the app and give his impression.

my CD transport is an Audionet. It is a very very good product. One of the best!

Now you can download the Audionet iMM from the App Store for iOS 7.

For non Audionet devices songlists are limited to 10 :-L .

Tried the Android app and it is a bit sluggish, scrolls a little slow. My favs are still BubbleUpNp and UPnPlay. Both are very smooth and quick.

I updated my iPad2 to iOS7 and downloaded the app last night, however I haven't tried it yet.
Verdict will follow......

Tried it tonight on my iPad.

Many flaws encountered.

- As already stated, Playlist is limited to 10 tracks which makes it completely unusable, IMO

- The library is browsing to the letter O - not further

- Very slow updating of album arts (if at all)

- Not all uPnP servers shown, but updates eventually (seems to work bad with Minimserver)

- 1 crash encountered

- Not possible to scrub or use FF

- Sometimes I have to restart to get into the menus of desire

- Volume not working*

- Mute not working*

* Wavestream used

I am a bit dissapointed so far.

Cannot compete with Kinsky or Lumin.

@frode

as I am no beta tester, I tested it without wavestream and I don´t like an additional computer in my chain.

Another point may be, that no PWD/Bridge combination seems to be equal to another.

I am searching for a stable, good sounding possibility to “bring” the music from my NAS/Vortexbox to the PWD. JRiver sounds very good but doesn´t work flawless for me (and needs another computer ).

Back to iMM

-The Library is browsing in my system from A-Z and the other points all work well, except FF.

I introduced iMM, because I looked for a methode to handle my PWD as I could do, when I bought it!

Kinsky is not bad, but iMM in my system works better. Lumin I never could get to run.

Helmut,

The Lumin app only works with Lumin music server for the time being.

does not work at all with me (minimserver, synology NAS, Mac). It just recognize the perfectwave, and the minimserver but no sound! so useless…

Now you can buy that the 10 song limitation in the songlist is deleted.

It works with all my network server (Vortexbox, MinimServer on QNAP etc. ) My Mac is no MusicServer. Maybe Christmas…
