I am using a dCS network bridge that supports 192kHz via a balanced cable into the PS Audio Mk1 Direct Stream DAC. When playing a 192kHz album, Roon and also when using the dCS Mosaic app both show the album as having 192kHz output. However, the DAC screen only shows 96kHz. I have checked all the settings I can think of but this hasn’t made any difference. The Roon signal path also shows 192kHz. I’m not sure what is happening since I use to be able to get 192kHz showing on the DAC. Any thoughts?
The DS counts samples per second. If it says 96k samples per second, that’s all that’s coming in on the wire. Something upstream of the DAC is downsampling. I should be more careful: the DS’s bridge card might be configured to downsample. But no other inputs can downsample.

Many thanks Ted. I assumed this to be the case and thought I had tried all the relevant settings up stream. I played around a little more with the dCS network bridge and guess what, I’m now seeing 192kHz on the DAC screen. All good and I appreciate your very rapid reply.
