initialize and reinstall firmware in the DSJ

I am using DSJ.

In Bridge II mode, the specified sample rate (96 KHz, 88.2 KHz) can not be played back.

In the source device, playback is performed at 96 KHz and in DSJ, playback is performed at 48 KHz.

it sounds very slow and warped like an old tape.

I want to reinstall the firmware. Is there a way to initialize the DSJ firmware and install it again with the latest version?

To reset the microprocessor turn the DSJ off with the main power switch on the back, wait 10 seconds, press and continue to press the power button on the front, and whilst continuing to press that button turn on the main power switch at the back and let the unit start up. I forget at what point you release the front power button, I think as soon as it starts to come to life you can release it. Try it and see.

Brodricj is correct but I’ll bet it has something to do with how you’re feeding the Bridge. What program are you using to do that?

I’m using roon, mconnect, BubbleUPnP, foobar2000.

It’s all the same phenomenon.

Tidal and My Nas Music, all have the same result.

At present, only 96Khz, 88.2Khz sound source is occurring.

It is displayed as source (96Khz, 88.2Khz) -> DSJ (48Khz, 44.1Khz).

Your comment that the music is playing slowly is a HUGE red flag:

“it sounds very slow and warped like an old tape.”

There is very likely a clock issue in your Bridge card that needs servicing.
