I’m still thinking about what I want to tackle next. I’m leaning towards the UltraRendu or OpticalRendu and getting the ST at a later point in time as I’m happy with my computer running rooncore. Just don’t want it next to my stereo.
I purchased the Small Green Computer (SGC) Sonicorbiter i5 to run Roon server and SGC states it can handle a library up to 450K tracks. I don’t have any intention of using the i5 for upsampling DSD, but I understand people that use the SGC i5 can upsample to DSD 256 without problems. I realize if I wanted to up sample DSD to 512 I would need a Nucleus +, Sonicorbiter with an i7 processor, or an Intel NUC with in Intel i7 processor.
I purchased a used SGC Sonicorbiter i5, but a new one is $895.00
