I wanted to announce to those who haven’t heard; our newest release by The Squid City Slingers is out now! This record was one of the first projects I did at Octave Records and was really my foray into the world of DSD. Often when I’m discussing with fellow musicians, music fans, and audio engineers about the differences of PCM and DSD, acoustic instruments are usually some of the first examples I bring up that helped showcase some of the magic of DSD. There’s a level of depth and realism that really comes through in our recordings process. This latest release shows off that very magic! A combination of traditional bluegrass instrumentation meets alternative country and rock songwriting to bring us an unlikely and incredible fusion on “All That We Carried.” Let me know your thoughts!
