P15 Multiwave Making Amps Buzz

Curious if this has happened to anyone else. I notice two amps I have plugged into a P15 started buzzing. Not a buzz from the speaker but from the amp itself. Spoke to the amplifier company and they said something is up with my power. I started looking around at the screen on the P15 and notice that THD out was just about the same as THD in. I then switch to Sine Wave mode and THD out went down to around 0.4 from about 1.6 and most importantly my amps stopped buzzing.

Anyone else seen something like this? Strange that THD out is so high. Also I’ve had these same components connected to this P15 for about a year, so no system changes.

THD is back up and it’s buzzing again. Nevermind what I was saying about Multiwave. There must be something wrong with the P15.

Time to check in with tech support.
I would not use the P15 as it may be failing

It’ll be the regen boards failing, that’s exactly what’s happened with my P10s. If you’re in the US talk to PSA, else your country distributor.

If the regen boards are failing, likely culprit, do not use the power plant until a repair has been completed. It could damage your connected components. I’m sure PSA tech support would be most willing to assist.

Thanks. Can’t believe I had everything plugged in for over a week. Since the amps were buzzing I figured they were having issues. I unplugged everything from the p15 and all buzzing has stopped. I’ll get in contact with support on Monday.

Out of curiosity I plugged them into the network and could see from PowerPlay that when devices are connected THD out becomes the same as THD in.

I’ve seen all sorts of strange numbers, including THD out bigger than THD In, and voltage low. My BHK250s were buzzing.

Were they able to fix it?

Yes, in a P10 there are two boards that are the regen boards. No damage was done to any other equipment, e.g. the BHKs were fine once the regen boards were replaced. Not cheap however.

I’m so busy during the day with work it’s hard to get away and call support. Do any of you know the support email address? Couldn’t find one on their website.

I’ve had some good success using this contact page:

Here are four emails I’ve used:
