Your waterfall photo looks a lot like the Cascades in Pembroke, VA.

A long time ago. Were meant to be going back to this area last summer. Maybe next year.

Wanted to take the wife here. Phuktal Monastery. An active centre of Tibetan Buddhism for 2,500 years. Took over 2weeks to walk there, now you can get fairly close by road.

A comparison of the Leica ASPH 50mm and 90mm wide open (middle two images). I sold the 90mm as I found it heavy. I regret doing so.

50mm f1.7

50mm f1.4

90mm f2

90mm f6.8

Love the bottom photo.

I did a “Michael” process on it.

Another one I like 90mm at f5.6 to get the prayer wheel in focus.

Not too sure about the Michael process.

These are lovely photos … wau. We have traveled many of the same places in the world. Great

I was in the national park to control birds of prey. I did not have the right photo equipment with me. Sorry. But here is an experience of a lifetime. It’s trying to steal the food. It does not look lol

Nothing beats the Indian sub-continent, and Tibet. The gentleman above was on the way up to Talo Monastery near Punakha, Bhutan.

Here’s another one from another place in Punakha. Up to 1,500 per day attempt the walk up to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery and about one third make it. Lunatics climb to the top of the hill (about 12,000ft) the day before and then descend. There were us and two others in the overnight camp. You get good views at the top and on the way down.
