Maybe it is an either DoP (limited to DSD64) or native DSD (DSD128 possible) thing.


The WDN accepts 5.6MHz DSD over Ethernet, but it can play up to 11.28 MHz DSD over I2s.

With those devices the files are likely being transmitted over ethernet using normal file transfer protocols rather than UPnP. I vaguely recall Paul talking about the limits of UPnP but not whether they were absolute limits or just practical limits given what PSA was talking about.
