(I love this DAC, currently in-between Matrix Audio NT-1 and Octave V70 amp.)
The front panel display/touchscreen is small but works. However:
–Is there an app for the iPhone, or
–Is there a way to connect over the LAN to the DAC to change the configuration?
–Specifically, Is there a way to change the “input names” to a custom one?
…also, are there any general PS Audio apps for the current generation of PMG components?

I was also expecting he same, but unfortunately PSA is old school on that. You have to change settings by remote control or on touch screen.
Well, it good also be a good thing, as having a listener app running in the PMG 512 would degrade that wonderful streamer.
I recall iFi Zen and Neo stream have these ALL or Exclusive app mode, where the remote interface from app is not possible in Exclusive mode to get the best SQ from the streamer.
Well, the remote works – so why not leverage that set of circuits by bridging network traffic in-chassis? The DAC already has wireless and the ethernet circuitry – and it’s isolated. Perhaps they didn’t plan for it, if so they should for the next products.
Maybe they didn’t plan for it, but it might be possible to get it across to the remote-control circuits.
