I have a problem with the “Phase Tune” of my P20. With the “Auto Tune” in automatic the phase is at 0 and my THD IN is at 1.3% and the THD OUT is at 1.1%. If I put the phase at -5 the THD out is at 0.4%.
Before in automatic I had A THD OUT 0.1%…
I unplugged the P20 for 15 hours but it did not change.
I live in France, the electric current is at 230 v.
The fact that the automatic phasing does not give me the lowest THD, as well as the fact that even in manual I do not reach 0.1% of THD OUT does not seem normal to me. Do you have any explanations ?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Any aural correlation with the various phase tune settings and the measured thd?
Yes, a small difference but not “night and day”.
I’m not in front of my P20 at the moment, but I seem to recall that in the Settings there is a choice for either maximum voltage stability or lowest distortion, or something like that. Did you check this setting?
I checked these settings too… and it doesn’t change anything. I contacted the French importer, I’ll see what he recommends.
Information sent to PS Audio by the French importer…
Since this observation on the THD, one evening I heard the “relays” clicking and now the voltage regulation is becoming faulty: decrease of 1 to 2 Volts instead of 10 Volts, …
I am waiting a little worried for the return of the technical service
