Anyone have any experience matching PSA preamp gear with MAC gear? Understanding that the PMG series hasn’t been released yet, thinking about the PMG preamp paired with an MC462 amp. Thanks!

Your speakers will also enter the equation. Paul has done many videos with the notion of getting your speakers set first, then build your system around the best speakers you can afford.
I ended up doing just that, unintentionally. I thought my system was basically set, though I knew that improvements were needed. Then I purchased a pair of the FR20’s. That, and influence from experienced others, lead me to upgrade everything else in my system.
So while synergy is important between electronics in your system, don’t keep your speakers out of the equation.

Absolutely! I’ve got my gear hooked up to a pair of Focal Sopra No 3s with a pair of REL carbon special subs. The focals are great but occasionally can sound a bit bright depending on the recording. No interest in changing speakers at this time though. Appreciate the insight!

sorry for asking, but about how big is your listening space? am wondering if fr20s might be in my future… have a rel sub but still want more punch sometimes (would replace Dynaudio Confidence 20s) except for my streamer gear (all innuos) am all in on PSA (amp and dac) at this point
My listening room is approx 17’-4" wide x 30’-0" long, but there is another offset rectangular parallel & behind the main listening area.
I have mention on many occasions that the FR20’s are fantastic, and am glad I purchased them

I Have Focal Aria 948s. Certain things sounded a bit on the bright side but I upgraded my pre to a BHKPre and boy did that set thing’s right.

Anyone know if the PMG preamp comes with a remote? Didn’t see one on the site description.
From Axpona, the mentality of PSA was that it would come with the standard remote, but that an ultra-cool big dialable remote would be available for an additional purchase.

It comes with a most interesting and unusual remote!
I am glad to hear that the PMG preamp will come with a different remote. I currently have the BHK preamp remote and I am not a fan of its design. I don’t know how many times I have turned the system off while trying to lower the volume. An off button is just below the toggle for volume.
