Wow. Yes, I just looked out my window as well and it was spectacular this morning. Great shots Dennis.
That is one of the things I love about Colorado, Great sunrises and sunsets.

It is fun how these things can sneak up on one. About a month ago I saw a truly spectacular sunset waiting for my plane in Charlotte, NC. I did not expect a wonderful sunset while sitting in a terminal.
Funny, I always think of great sunsets occurring in the warmer latitudes. I guess that I just pay more attention there but the best sunsets that I have seen have been over Lake Superior.

But when you think about it, the angle of incidence of the sun’s rays is lower in higher latitudes, so you get longer sunsets and sunrises, with more diffuse light reflecting and refracting through the air.
And longer nights during which to contemplate the longer transitions.
