One of the few greats who really deserves the Legend moniker IMHO.
RIP Quincy. Another musical genius gone who lived a long life and was instrumental in some of music’s greatest successes. Legend and icon for sure!
NPR’s Morning Edition offered a nice piece on Quincy Jones.
I got a chance to meet Quincy Jones AND Sir. George Martin at a party at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
I met them BOTH at the same time and my mind was blown.
I took “Ms, Westlake Village” (an actual beauty pageant winner) as my date and despite meeting other cool people like Jeff Lynn (sp) from ELO and others. She only could talk about being in the same room as Celine Dion. We stopped dating the next day and you don’t have to guess as to who made that decision
