I am obviously very excited.
My Pass Labs XP-30 is dead quiet, ALWAYS. You donât get a S/N ratio <-110dB, referenced to 5V with a bad design and noisy cables. Play the game, but complaints of noise have to be backed up with measurement to a given standard. Can you reference those actual differences? Weâre getting to the limits of the measuring equipments S/N ratio at -110 dB.
So now I am getting double cable biwire True shotgun speaker cables with Bybees speaker bullets in the 4 cables. My system will have all RAL signal cables to replace my Audio Art Statement cables. It should be a nice upgrade. I will have my Audio Art Statement cables to be able to play with my newly arriving RAL umbilical cables for my XP-32, a 2 meter 1.5 meter and 1 meter balanced interconnects and the True shotgun Bybee speaker cables 1.5 meters times 4 cables. I am expecting some nice new cables. Very exciting. I have to say that Brad has been only a pleasure to work with.
Just a heads up for anyone ordering a Revelation Audio cord. He takes your order promptly. However his communication skills are awful. I ordered a cord for my pass XP 22. I messaged him a few times with no response during the build. At one point I contested my purchase with paypal because he went completely silent. I was actually refunded by Paypal. About 6 weeks later the cord shows up at my door. He then contacted me for paymentâŠwhich I promptly paid.
Long story shortâŠHeâe a good guy and makes fantastic cords, but you have to be patient with his inability to communicate well. I do recommend himâŠbut heâs a one man show and you do need to be patient.
I just installed the RAL umbilical cables and the sound is much better straight off. The sound is much better. It is hard to explain but it is like I got an upgraded preamp. The hype is not just hype. The sound is much cleaner and the cables were installed only 15 minutes ago and the sound is getting better and better. I am going to wait a while before installing the XLR cables as I want to hear the improvements over time So far so good. Highly recommended. PS It took me 4 days to receive the cables.
Thatâs great to hear. Especially that the umbilical cords do not carry signal, only DC power.
My custom Neotech Silver dc cable makes a nice difference between my Keces P3 and DSD Mk1 APS analog power board. As Iâm listening with the RAL umbilical cords itâs like a preamp upgrade. Iâm blown away.
Curiosity got the better of me so I connected the RAL balanced interconnects between my preamp and my headphone amp and the sound is nice. I am very pleased with the sound I am getting straight off. The cables will only improve over the next couple hundred hours.
I highly recommend these cables. The improvement is not subtle.
The sound with the RAL umbilical cables on my XP-32 is incredible. If I knew how much improvement I am getting I would have done this move years ago. The sound is that of a system in another league. Just when I thought I was done I am excited all over again. I currently have a RAL balanced interconnect from my preamp to my headphone amp and the sound is glorious. I am going to recable my entire system with RAL cables.
I just had to add âWOWâ and that is just the umbilical cords. I am recabling my entire system with RAL cables. As large an upgrade as new speakers or amps. I am totally psyched. My system already is in another league that I did not think possible. It has been a pleasure working with Brad on all of this.
I get 3 pairs of balanced XLR I/câs, an HDMI cable,an AES/EBU XLR cable and a 3 meter balanced headphone cable tomorrow. The cables were lost by FedEx for 2 weeks. I just got confirmation of delivery tomorrow. I am pretty excited.
I received the cables today and they are beautiful sounding. My system has a new âflavourâ to it and I like it. I was a little sceptical about the cables replacing much costlier cables but the sound is exciting good and I just installed them. I still have speaker cables to come which are going to be bicabled or more precisely quad cabled each speaker. Four cables per speaker.
The sound I am getting with the RAL XLR everywhere and the RAL digital cables and the RAL umbilical cables are giving me the best sound I have ever experienced. I am also enjoying the RAL headphones cables between my headphone amp and Abyss headphones. The RAL headphone cables favourably replace much pricier Danacable Nirvana cables. I am having fun. I still have the RAL shotgun quad cable speaker cables to come. This is all very exciting. These cables are very very good.
250 hours play on the interconnects and digital cables and over 600 on the umbilical cables and the sound is amazing. I wait with anticipation and excitement the two sets of shotgun speaker cables. Very exciting.
So far I am thrilled with the results of all XLR cables, digital cables and umbilical cables on my Pass XP-32 Revelation Audio Labs cables in my system and in a few hours I will have my custom RAL Testament Cryosilver biwire TrueShotgun speaker cables with Bybees to add to my system. Very exciting.
I received and installed the RAL Testament Cryosilver TrueShotgun biwire and they are gorgeous. I donât think that burn in of these cables is going to be much of a chore but more of a pleasure. They are sounding good now with just 7 hours play. Now my system is fully cabled with RAL cables except for my power cables which are Neotech NEP-3200 and NEP-3001 mk3 both with Furutech FI-50 NCF connectors. I have 5 of these cables each for 3200 for high current and 3001 mk3 for front end components. My system has never sound so good as with a complete RAL signal cable setup.
The RAL speaker cables with 64 hours continuous play are sounding amazing and they will only much improve with several hundred hours of playtime. I am using all RAL signal cables at this point. Nice synergy.
