Any of you guys tried a Shunyata Venom Defender yet? Just wondering how it may sound plugged into same outlet powering a P-10 or perhaps plugged into one of the outlets on the back of a P-10, is said to have same MPDA noise reduction used in Shunyata $5,000 Hydra Triton, sells at Music Direct for $195.00
I wonder if one of these can replace several PS Audio Noise Harvesters? But I do like the LED lights on the Noise Harvesters; they let me know they are working.
I suggest buying one and trying it out. It is affordable and can readily be returned if you do not like it. I, personally, have not been impressed with Shunyata’s power filters and cannot fathom the prices but it is worth keeping an open mind.

Yes, although the silly things are very bright - a Sharpie blackening of the LEDs is a wonderful mod.

The point with the NH light is that the electrical noise transforms and dissipates into light.
However, masking the LED won't harm.
Yes I have one, in place and it does or can help.
I’d suggest that it be located ‘upstream’ of the audio equipment, if possible, rather than in the same duplex receptacle that feeds the downstream equipment. And yeah this does seem a bit picky, but I did notice a small improvement by being ‘upstream’.
And the total net effect of using the VD is not great, but it is noticeable none the less, so it does or can help, depending.

I just saw a new Shunyata Research Defender at Overture Audio in DE and it has a blue LED that is supposed to turn red if there are issues. FYI the $195 price seems to be firm.
