This month it’s 35 years since I quit smoking! I was 35 at the time and had smoked about half my life. Now that quitting was nearly half my life ago.

I smoked for about 15 years. When we learned that my wife was pregnant, I threw the pack out and never smoked again. Who knows why but it wasn’t a problem for me to stop.
Funny that back when I was performing in clubs, if i was looking to buy a used guitar or amp, if it didn’t stink of cigarette smoke I knew the seller didn’t play out.
