Now that’s quite exciting. Can’t wait to see the final product.
thats great news! looking forward to Axpona this year, hearing the AN3’s, and the conversations
My only suggestion without actually seeing them in person or hearing them would be to make the purchase of the speaker and the stand two separate items like Magico and some other companies do. Make the stand in the Matte Walnut and the black finish of the speaker and if the purchaser would rather use spikes, Gaia’s or some other footer of their choosing then they can do so instead of purchasing the stands. If they are concerned about tipping the outriggers are commercially available from several places as are platforms from places like Townsend and Starsound.
I couldn’t take reading all 400 or so posts. I think the speakers look nice. The wood stand thingies are fugly. I think you need at least two or three finishes for cabinets and if the stands are going to be like that they have either match the cabinets or be black. The speakers kind of remind me of the large Kudos speakers
Just scroll up, if @rkosak and the like can pull 3rd party supports off that form fit the AN3’s it would indeed give customers more choices and thus increase sales.
But I still like the Walnut (not high gloss please) supports.
I thought @Paul or @Chris_Brunhaver mentioned that those supports are decoupling from the floor as they are anchored in a bed of Sorbothane. But I might got that wrong.
I don’t actually care one way or the other as they are not on my radar but it provides alternatives for the constant whiners who in the grand scheme of things have no intentions of buying them anyway. The alternatives put a stop to that so then they will have to find something else.
I guess the takeaway of this side-ish discussion is: Offer a $2k outrigger as an option, yes? Not sure if that should be each or not. And whether they should be tripods or quads.
Or, make default stands that appeal to most people.
Seriously though, a $20K speaker should not be visually appealing to only a minority.
Mark…why 2 to 4K? I’m sure there are less costly alternatives for the money.
I. Am. Kidding. : ). I hear that in the flesh the speakers are fab, and hope to get a peek at them soon.
Hmmm…u got me.
Less than $300 a pair in black and slightly more in nickel.
I have used those on my Maggies for a few years. I took them off last year and found it better without in my setup/room.

A perfect 10
As long as they are about 18" or 19" off the ground and broadly horizontal, that looks good to me. But wheres do you put your feet?
Peter Walker was famous for once recommending beer crates. Unfortunately they usually only come in blue.
Frankly, any sensible speaker designer would use outriggers, base plates or whatever, so the customer can use spikes or any other device they want, with a standardised screw size M8.
Sensible is ¼-20 around these here parts, pard - and I do believe these here AN’s have 'em🤠
I know the world balks at conforming to our standards (being non-metric) but I have plenty of M-Whatever screws laying around.
LOL, perfect… that’s like AN2!
So now that you’ve put the new design woofers in the IRS V, when can we expect the PS Audio subwoofer? Just put a pair in a box and no one will care what it looks like. Hmmmmmmmn?
