Sorry I missed that.
PS Audio products in general have low resale value… Time waits for no one!
Does the Pre have HT Bypass? I don’t readily see this mentioned.
Thanks
Wow, a whole new serie! I like the design. However I guess it will be in the price range of the Perfect Wave serie or probably above that. For me personally unfortunately that will be above my budget.
But… great job PSaudio team! ![]()
Pretty impressive unveiling. I’m guessing it was an aw $hit moment when they learned Marantz was dropping the drive. Regardless, I’m seriously happy for PS Audio, Paul for a namesake series, and those who can afford it.
It was mentioned above and Paul announced $8500 a piece.
Depending on the trade in amount and how the new DAC stacks up sound wise, i might be interested. I reallt like the styling of the new componets.
Wish the above video wasn’t cut off right before the sound demo.
My VTL doesn’t label it either. It’s selectable to whatever input I choose.
Thanks!
Would be nice if it did/has the same…
Wow wonder how this dac sounds vs. DS MKII with custom APS transformers? I notice the new Dac uses opamps with buffer. How is this different/better than the transformer based outputs of the MKII?
The DAC looks intriguing. Be interested as well in the streamer tech, particularly the interface.
I was told the lack of transformer coupling was a decision Paul made, he thinks it improves bass performance. Can’t comment on sound quality since the system was playing in a noisy environment. Perhaps we will get a shoot out from an early adopter.
@pmotz I missed you today! We need to meet up tomorrow.
