For those of you who are looking for risers to lift your speaker cables off the floor inexpensively and with a nice look, check Amazon for : Honey-Can-Do STO-01150 Wood Bed Lifts-Light Finish, 4-Pack, Maple, 4 Count. Price: $25.33.
Turned mine upside down! I am NOT saying I heard any sonic improvement, but it looks cool to me.

…and one could try the IKEA ‘Tea Lights’, apparently model CB 20 and/or JD-1751, available for less than a dollar each… They’re about 2" tall and can be stacked…sort of…and hotglue keeps them stacked… Here are 2 singles and 2 doubles… I find the doubles ideal for stacking cable that have to cross paths.
Ive been searching and brainstorming for risers for ribbon cables and came across these. Has anyone used these that can comment on them? They seem like a novel approach that is very useful given the modularity.
It looks like a model of a medieval pillory. ![]()
Ha, it sure does.

I posted these before, a couple of sizes. I think there is a third too. Not as cheap as the wood, but they work well. The levels are nice for cables that travel the same path along the way. I post link to one store on aliexpress. Many others sell same thing I believe.
I made some temporary makeshift cable risers out of cardboard that I have been using that made a noticeable difference, but just replaced them with these exact bed risers. I was pleasantly surprised to hear an immediate improvement. The speaker cables are higher off the ground and separated, better, also these wood bed risers have more mass and I’m thinking they offer better isolation and vibration control, and they definitely look better.
I use these:
They are relatively inexpensive and come in several variations to accommodate different cables. I got the heavyweight ones, which I would recommend unless your cables are very light.
Those are really cool.
Cable Risers: got to Amazon and look up “Wooden Bed Riser.” Four for $21 to $30!

These are cute. I don’t need any but may order them anyway. The new “tall” ones seem nice.
I’ve picked up these antique ceramic insulators at flea markets for $5 a piece. I really like the look and they work for my purpose quite well. They come in a few different styles and colors to include clear glass.
Excellent price and they’re functional.
Hello all, here’s a simple and economical approach with lots and lots of options. Don’t laugh…![]()
Rebar Hangars in multiple designs, heights and colors.https://www.homedepot.com/s/rebar%20chairs?NCNI-5
I have tried those. There is no weight to them and tip super easy
I ordered eight “Tall Boy” cable elevators from Long Island Record C. These are higher and will be useful for me since the SCs can be separated further from the PCs, at least that’s how I pictured in my mind.
If they work as planned I’ll post a picture here later.
I second @BobBJC 's recommendation about the rebar chairs.
I was just curious if I would hear a difference getting the cables off the floor AND further apart.
So I bought a bag of 20 for about $5.00 at Home Depot; a cheap experiment.
I think I hear an improvement. Maybe. Sometimes. Maybe not.
Thats’ why it’s best to go to Home Depot/Lowes and take a look. The ones with the wider bases are more stable than those without. I recommend using these for an experiment before investing in more costly audiophile riser options. Some hear it and some don’t.
Can people post links of the ones that worked? I bought mine from some supplier online. they were tall and not very wide..just fell over if not perfect balance.
