Speaker set up tricks

Congratulations on finally finding “the spot” for the Otello’s. I know when I got my pair it took me over a year of constant minor adjustments until they finally locked in and it was with ratios very similar to yours in the room in use at the time. When I moved them to the much larger newly built room in another state I started with a placement based on the “Verity calculator” and it just didn’t work as they were too far apart. I eventually ignored those recommendations and the distance from the side walls and went back to the ratios from the center point in the width of the room that had worked before and things snapped back into place. There is something special about what the Verity’s are capable of it you get the speaker and seating locations right.

I notice that the left and right shelves of LP’s are not symmetrical :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I used my CD racks behind the speakers as diffusers too. Every four or five CDs one sticking out a couple inches, and I like the SQ better. But my wife likes to “flatten” them when I am not around. I could tell the magic is gone and knew what happened to the CDs without even looking at them.

My older daughter and son-in-law really like the SQ from my system this time. It must be because the water-molecule-voodoo devices are doing something magic.

Wait! I think it’s more likely due to the new FR30 speakers. I did not even want to bring up the B2 thing so they will not think I am losing it.

The good whiskey does it, not the speakers😆

King George V was opened and the music never sounded better after everyone tried it.
