Aside from the fact that it works, can anyone compare the headphone audio quality with the more dedicated headphone preamp/amps?
Overall, Sprout is an awesome product, but if you’re using headphones w/ impedance greater than 32ohms, then I believe it’s worth getting a separate headphone amp.
I’m currently using a set of HD6XX’s (300ohm) and the extra headroom that came w/ the Asgard 3 paid dividends (Asgard’s 600mW vs Sprout’s 125mW) - better dynamics and resolution.
