Status of Bridge2 Firmware Update?

I heard that there was a forthcoming Bridge2 upgrade in the works. I certainly don’t want to miss it! I don’t see anything about it in the forum. Can anyone fill me in on the status…

BridgeII update will be availible when Torreys for DS / DS jr is released. This will include Roon support.

Torreys is the name of the upcoming (not yet released) firmware update to the DirectStream.

For those interested I have installed BubbleUPnP server on my NAS and created an OH renderer from a choosen uPnP renderer.

What this means is that if you create this OH emulator from the BII uPnP renderer it is possible to use Kazoo and Lumin IOS control points (w/Tidal) with (an OH-emulated) BII - this without involving a computer.

Thank you, Frode. I have been meaning to try this with my Synology but not gotten around to it. Just to clarify that I understand correctly – the benefits of doing this are

  1. greater choice of iOS control points – specifically Kazoo and Lumin
  2. these control points support Tidal

I don’t yet use Tidal but am always looking for better CPs on my iPad.

Yes to both and better chance of gapless playback.

A 3rd. benefit is that your NAS is hosting everything outside of your renderer.
