STEALTH Dream V18 T Speaker Cables

That’s my boy!

I have heard the people at Synergistic Research eat peoples’ pets.

All I’m saying is I’ve heard many, many speaker cables and no, they don’t all sound the same. They use different color filters on their cables, you just have to find the color that is right for you. Price is irrelevant. And no, I don’t eat dogs.

Have you compared the SR cables to the Stealth Dream V18’s?

No, I might someday. I’m not saying the SR cables are the best out there, I’m just saying they are pretty impressive and work fine in mine and my friends systems compared with cheaper cables, that’s all.

Ah, that’s the rub. It has been my experience that more expensive cables sound better than less expensive ones. I am not surprised that you and your colleagues have experienced same. Across respectable lines (and I do believe most are legitimately giving their best) and within the lines themselves, the discerning factor that separates the best from the good is the price being charged.
To be sure, there are ones that may give better value than others, but I’ve never heard $100 cable outperform a $1000 one. My closest experience to this was when a $600 RAL HDMI trounced a $1,000. WireWorld 7 Series. The RAL was later replaced by the better $2,300. AQ Dragon.
I’ve been playing around with the best analog and digital cables from Shunyata, AQ, and Stealth.
In the end the Stealth’s have won, but at the highest price. Wish it wasn’t so, and have always hoped for that less expensive find, but I haven’t yet.

Well said, I totally agree! :+1:

I’m pretty sure the manufatures do listen to their own cables and price them accordingly. That is why their top end cables almost always in my experience do sound better than their lower line ones.

Until you do the blind test, then the $27 SC wins😆

Only if used with a pair of Apex Monos, of course!

It will be interesting to see how the Fidelium XLRs stack up against other highly rated cables for those who have the opportunity to compare. I suspect they will punch above their weight in terms of cost:performance ratio. I have the speaker cables but awaiting XLRs.

Congratulations, perfect analysis. I agree, the bass is lower, and everything is more organic.

I’ve wasted a lot of money on less expensive cables. They always turned out to be false economy.

I’m going to give the Silversmith Fidelium a try. They cost less than the MSRP then my speaker cables and interconnects. They are much less than cables from almost every company other than iconoclast.

What will they be replacing?

I’m using Audioquest Fire XLR (when not using Al’s Sakra V17’s) the AQ Fire is for sale. Speaker cables I’m using Audioquest Thunderbird which I actually like a lot. The Fidelium speaker cables sell for $800 less per pair after heavy AQ discount. So I look forward to hearing how they fair. The Audio Analyst Greg Weaver said that they were slightly edged out by his Sakra V17’s that’s the highest praise I can think of.

I do believe the speaker cables are worth a shot, having heard them a while back. At one time I had planned on a pair, but Charlie has an affinity for ribbons. He has slowed down these days, and a ribbon cable could now be an option. Hmm…

I’d likely replace my Nirvana SX-LTD speaker cables should I go with a pair of Fidelium.

As I stated before, I am using two pairs of Fidelium SC, and they replaced AQ Robin H. Bi-wired SC. I like Fidelium SC quite a bit better actually.

I am waiting for their XLR too. Jeff is quite busy nowadays.

Silversmith Fidelium 10 foot speaker cables with jumpers incoming. If you like I I’d be happy to lend them out.
