Very nice.
This is one of the first albums I downloaded from HDTracks. Thanks for the reminder. I need to listen to it again! It’s a good one!
The sound of nylon strings is so nice!
Fernanda Cunha “Olhos de Mar”
Ah, it’s good to relax.
Lon, I think you introduced me to this one…a great album…
Agreed!
David Murray with bassist Fred Hopkins, pianist Dave Burrell, and drummer Ralph Peterson Jr. They kick this set off with John Coltrane’s Equinox, followed by Albert Ayler’s Ghosts.
“LP Went Missing in the Mail” was solved; Jazz, not yet.
I started the day off revisiting this recent release. I like it!
Joe Lovano/Dave Douglas, Soundprints “Other Worlds”
The final Erroll Garner album, “Magician” . . . . A darned good one.

Electric Bass, Acoustic Bass – Bob Cranshaw
Organ – Norman Gold
Drums – Grady Tate
Tambourine – Jackie William
“The Complete Joe Henderson Blue Note Studio Sessions” Mosaic Records box set, disc 3
Remarkably good mastering.
Half of the final recorded album, there are still enough tracks to issue another one (source : my late friend Bob Cranshaw). Parts of Erroll Garner last gig will be released in September in a limited edition bundle (with a complete unissued concert of LP). a cheaper bundel without the K7 with parts of the last gigs and Vintage 1967 promotional box of five 7-inch 45rpm singles from Garner’s private archive will also be issued. Erroll was such a great man. I think Martha Glaser helped him a lot on marketing, contracts and so on but asked him to much to play the way SHE wanted and kind of destroyed his genius.
I would deeply advise to order the limited edition called “centennial edition” ASAP : 300 is very low
