I was at these shows, and have been on the hunt for their release. Summarized somewhat favorably in Rodger Colemanâs blog/book Sun Ra Sundays. My Sun Ra Arkestra Paradiso Amsterdam 1970 just arrived at Dusty Groove. I hope to pick-up a copy tomorrow.
It is no secret I am late when it comes to appreciating Yusef Lateef, I look forward to these releases as well.
Yet another fine upcoming RSD release from the personal archives. Lacy and Waldron are a real treat.
The master himself, Art Tatum. Iâve the entire Pablo Solo releases on LP. Most fine indeed!
Considering RSD 2024, this year tends t be stronger for me than 2023, with the Sun Ra, Yusef Lateef, Mal Waldron & Steve Lacy announcement. As well as Sun Ra Pink Elephants on Parade, and the Craft release of Everybody Digs Bill Evans. In general Craft has done a fine job remastering and releasing various gems on vinyl.
Some more info regarding the Nat King Cole releaseâa quartet with John Collins, Charles Harris, and Lee Young. Collins and Young are among my favorites. . . looking forward to this one.
