Might have to add this one to my listen and then buy list…

From the Roon “liner notes”:

I have multiple copies. . . a recording I have been enjoying for nearly fifty years!

Didn’t expect to see my name in bold within the Mosaic Records Jazz Gazette today! Wasn’t even on my bingo card.

Link? I looked all over.

Just pulled the trigger adding Peter Brotzmann The Quartet to my collection. This 4 LP box set features Jason Adasciewicz, Steve Noble, and John Edwards performing at London’s Cafe Oto as part of Peter’s February 2023 residency.

Just ordered this recent Modern Harmonic double LP, Sun Ra Uncharted Passaages. Solo piano from a July 1977 performance at jazz cafe Axis-in-Soho.

Excellent indeed, and picked it up from Alexander while he was in Chicago. An easy recommendation.

One can never have too much Cecil Taylor, or Sun Ra for that matter.

A day for duets, again a great sounding set on Intakt Records.

Kara Draksler plays in a lot of settings but she really meshes well here with Susana Santos Silva. I think this is the second duet recording they have released.

Kaja Draksler: Piano
Susana Santos Silva: Trumpet
