Eremite Records announced an upcoming Natural Information Society LP, Perseverance Flow . Natural Information Society is Joshua Abrams, Lisa Alvarado, Jason Stein, and Mikel Patrick Avery.
Pat Metheny’s Dream Box is a beautiful, dreamlike journey of intimate guitar sounds—perfect for quiet evenings, rainy night reflections, or peaceful early mornings.
Brad Mehldau’s Ride into the Sun — a gorgeous, haunting tribute to Elliott Smith. Intimate piano meets sweeping orchestration, balancing heartbreak and hope. Heavy and beautiful.
Thanks for the tip.
Lot of low energy.
“Kenny Burrell on View at the Five Spot Cafe–the Complete Masters” Blue Note Japan SHM-SACD
Excellent mastering of this classic material.
Thank you!
Btw Gary Peacock was the best man of a neighbor of mine well over fifty years ago. The wedding was in Japan.

Kenny Barron | Dave Holland Trio feat. Johnathan Blake – Without Deception
A masterclass in modern jazz. Kenny Barron’s piano touch is elegant yet daring, Holland’s bass lines are as inventive as ever, and Johnathan Blake drives it all with crisp, energetic drumming. Every track feels both fresh and timeless—intimate conversation between legends who know exactly when to push and when to give space.
Perfect for a Saturday morning of coffee, reflection, and letting the music breathe. ![]()

Kenny Barron never fails to impress, possibly the most under appreciated pianist of his generation.
This is a welcome surprise! Coming in November. 3 cd or 5 LP set of all the studio recordings of the Bill Evans Trio with LaFaro and Motian, including 17 previously unreleased alternates. Plus the awesome Plangent Process!
Haunted Heart: The Legendary Riverside Studio Recordings (3-CD)
I pre-ordered the CD set.
A bit more regarding this compelling set from Micheal Fremer, where he discusses the Plangent Process:
The CD set lists at $40. I have yet to find pricing for the 5 LP box set, guessing in the $150 range.
A sublime album, musically and sonically.
Archie Shepp, tenor sax, vocals
John Hicks, piano
George Mraz, bass
Billy Drummond, drums
Yes, 150 directly from Craft.
I have about 100 or more discs with the Plangent Process, which is a great process.
I preordered the CDs. If I have any CDs that used Plangent, I’m not aware, so this might be $40 of fun.
I already have the AAA LPs so why buy them again with digital in the chain? It’s a lot of money just to re-re-reconfirm that I prefer LPs AAA.
You may enjoy this one as well Archie Shepp Deja Vu with Harold Mabern (p), Georg Mraz (b), and Billy Hart (dr):
Thanks for sharing. My curiosity has the best of me regarding the Plangent Process, so the 3 CD box at $40 is a distinct possibility.
A start for the various Kenny Barron Dave Holland ensembles, rotating drummers going forward. Scratch Kenny Barron, Dave Holland, Daniel Humair. The second cut Quiet Times is just right, understated and serene.
wrong post
Ron, this process is pretty amazing. The best showcase of a Plangent Process disc is to compare it to the same material in a previous non-Plangent release. The best example I know of this is comparing any issue of Erroll Garner’s “Concert by the Sea” to the three cd version (complete concert, and released album, and interview, all Plangent Processed) – the new Plangent Process version is transformed.
Love those Venus recordings.
